Easy Read: Make your website easier to understand.

simple8 adds Plain Language and Easy Read versions to your website, portal or digital service through the API, CMS integrations or a one-line JavaScript widget.

Accessibility

Easy Read

simple8 transforms complex content into structured Easy Read for people who need stronger language support.

Accessibility

Language is part of an accessible customer journey.

A technically accessible page can still be difficult to understand. Complex wording, unexplained specialist terms and long instructions can prevent people from completing forms, following a process or making an informed decision. simple8 turns that content into controlled Plain Language or Easy Read output without replacing your existing accessibility testing and remediation.

Add understandable language to your accessibility program.

WCAG, EN 301 549 and BITV guide technical and interactive accessibility. simple8 complements that work by creating understandable language versions for the content people need to read, understand and act on.

German plain-language output from simple8 conforms to DIN ISO 24495-1 and DIN 8581-1. German Easy Read output conforms to DIN SPEC 33429.

Publish understandable content across every digital channel.

  • Easy Read: simple8 transforms complex content into structured Easy Read for people who need stronger language support.
  • Add understandable language to any website.: Connect simple8 to WordPress, TYPO3, Drupal, Storyblok or a custom frontend through the API, or launch the website widget with one line of JavaScript.
  • Data-minimal processing, hosted in Germany.: simple8 processes only what is needed to generate, protect and deliver your content, with data-minimal workflows and clearly documented operating controls.

Note on Plain Language and Easy Read modes

simple8 offers both Plain Language and Easy Read. The two language modes serve different needs. The website itself must be technically accessible, while the output can also be simplified linguistically. Technical accessibility and understandable language versions complement each other. Neither replaces the other.
